How to prepare milk cakes at home


Milk contains high amount of calcium that is needed to our body and moreover it is the primary source of nutrition. We use condensed milk in making milk cakes. It is a popular dessert richly made up of milk. Almonds, pistachio and raisins are used as toppings to this dessert. It has delicious taste and easy to prepare with few ingredients. So let us see the procedure of making milk cakes dessert.


  • Milk- 1 litre
  • Sugar- 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder- 1 spoon
  • Unsalted butter- ¼ cup
  • Chopped almonds- 1 spoon
  • Chopped pistachio- 1 spoon
  • Raisins- 1 spoon
  • Lemon juice- 2 spoons
  • Ghee- ½ cup


Step 1: Boil milk in a long-bottomed vessel at low flame.

Step 2: After 5min, add lemon juice to the milk.

Step 3: After some time it began to curdle.

Step 4: Sieve curdles from water and boil them for 5min at low flame.

Step 5: After sometime curdle becomes thick.

Step 6: Add some sugar and cardamom powder and stir it well.

Step 7: At low flame cook it for 5-10min until it starts changing the colour.

Step 8: Take a plate and apply ghee on it and pour the mixture on the plate.

Step 9: Heat remaining ghee and saute the almonds, pistachio, raisins for 2min.

Step 10: Off the flame and use them as toppings to the dessert.

Step 11: After sometime, cut the dessert into small pieces.

Enjoy the taste of dessert with cardamom flavour.
