How to make indian spiced tea

Indian spiced tea commonly known as chai.  A spicy, sweetened black tea is a popular beverage in india with different types. Indian spiced tea is very hot and spicy made with four types of spices which adds more flavor to the tea. It is a common beverage prepared in all the homes. It is a refreshing hot drink  with a soothing effect.


  • Black tea decoction- 3 spoons
  • Chopped ginger- 1/2 spoon
  • Cloves- 4
  • Cardomom- 3
  • Cinnamon stick- 1 medium
  • Milk- 1 cup
  • Water- 4 cups
  • Brown sugar- 1/2 cup


Step 1: Take a non stick pan, add milk, water, black sugar and stir it well till sugar dissloves.

Step 2:Add ginger pieces and boil the liquid at low flame.

Step 3:Add cinnamon, cardomom to make tea more spicy.

Step 4:After 10min, off the flame and keep aside till the temperature reduces.

Step 5:Add black tea and boil it for 1-2min at low flame.

Step 6:Off the flame and serve in tea cups.

Step 7:Enjoy the taste of hot and spicy masala tea
