How to make capsicum sada masala

Capsicum sada masala, a punjabi recipe served with chapathi, roti and pulka. It is very tasty and spicy recipe. Green capsicum is a versatile vegetable used in salads also. Coriander leaves brings delicious taste to the recipe.


  • Capsicum – 4
  • Ginger and garlic paste- 1 spoon
  • Coriander powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Coconut powder- 1 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli as needed
  • Tomato chopped- 1/2 cup
  • Chopped onions- 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seeds- 1/2 spoon
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 spoon
  • Oil – 1/4 cup
  • Curry leaves- 2 springs


Step 1: Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves. saute them for 2min.

Step 2: Add chopped onions, salt and turmeric powder. stir it well.

Step 3: Add chopped onions , chopped tomato saute them well.

Step 4: Add ginger and garlic paste and mix it well.

Step 5: Add bell peppers and cook for 2min without any water.

Step 6: Add coriander powder, chilli powder and mix it well.

Step 7: Add soaked green peas and half glass of water , stir it well and cook it for 3-5min.

Step 8: Cook at low flame, atlast add coriander leaves for garnish.

Step 9: Serve with roti, pulka.
