- Baby onions- 250gms
- Chopped onions- 1/2 cup
- Green chilly- 2
- Turmeric- pinch
- Chopped coriander- 1/2 bunch
- Chilli powder- 1 spoon
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Ginger and garlic paste- 1 spoon
- Coconut powder- 1 spoon
- Tamarind juice- 1/4 cup
- Cumin powder- 1/2 spoon
- Jaggery- 1/4 cup
- Peanuts- 2 spoons
- Chopped mint leaves- 1/2 bunch
- Sesame seeds- 1 spoon
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Methi seeds- 1/4 spoon
- Dry red chillies- 2
Step 1: Saute peanuts and sesame seeds in a non-stick pan without any oil.
Step 2: Add coconut powder and saute it well.
Step 3: Using mixer make them fine paste by adding some water.
Step 4: For tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, methi seeds. saute them well.
Step 5: Add chopped onions, curry leaves and green chillies. fry them till they turn into brown colour.
Step 6: Add ginger and garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt, coriander and cumin powder. stir it well by adding water and cook it for 2min at low flame.
Step 7: Add chopped mint and stir it well.
Step 8: Add jaggery and tamarind juice and cook it till it turn into thick gravy.
Step 9: Add peeled baby onion and cook them at low flame for 10-15min.
Step 10: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve the recipe with roti, chapathi etc.
