  • Plain flour- 4cups
  • Baking powder- 5 spoons
  • Eggs- 4
  • Grated lemon zest- 2 spoons
  • Milk- 1 1/2 cup
  • Food coloring( orange, yellow, green)- 2+2+2
  • Grated orange zest- 2 spoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Shortening- 3/4 cup
  • White sugar- 2 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract- 2 spoons
  • Lime zest- 2 spoons
  • Orange cream for frosting-1
  • Lemon custard filling- 1


Step 1: Preheat oven at 350 degrees, grease pan and drop flour over it.

Step 2: Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, set aside.

Step 3: In a large bowl, shortening and sugar together until fluffy.

Step 4: Next add eggs, vanilla essence in a bowl , mix flour mixture alternatively with milk and divide batter in different bowls.

Step 5: Stir lemon zest, yellow food color in a bowl and pour into a bowl.

Step 6: Stir orange zest, orange food color in a bowl and pour into another bowl.

Step 7: Stir lime zest and green food color in a bowl and pour in the last bowl.

Step 8: Place batter in a pan and bake for 20-30min.

Step 9: Cut cake into layers and stir them in butter and food coloring bowl.

Step 10: Top cake with orange cream and custard filling.

Step 11: Serve the delicious colorful citrus cake.

Pumpkin roll cake

  • Canned pumpkin- 2/3 cup
  • Baking powder- 1 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped walnuts- 1 cup
  • Sugar confectioners- 1 cup
  • Softened butter- 1/4 cup
  • White sugar- 1 cup
  • Lemon juice- 1 spoon
  • All purpose flour- 1 cup
  • Grounded cinnamon- 2 spoons
  • Eggs- 3
  • Grounded nutmeg- 1/4 spoon
  • Vanilla extract- 1 spoon


Step1 : Preheat oven at 350 degrees F, Combine eggs, white sugar in a bowl beat them well until thickened.

Step 2: Add pumpkin and lemon juice to the mixture.

Step 3: Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt and nutmeg powder in another bowl.

Step 4: Grease pan and line with parchment paper, spread batter on the pan and sprinkle walnuts over it.

Step 5: Bake it for 15min until cake becomes fluffy.

Step 6: Turn out onto linen towel and dust with confectionary sugars. Peel off paper and roll cake in a towel.

Step 7: Beat cream cheese, sugar confectioners, butter and vanilla until fluffy.

Step 8: Slowly unroll cake and spread the filling over it and roll again.

Step 9: Cover and chill till serving. Sprinkle sugar confectioners if desired.

  • Pear – peeled and chopped- 4 cups
  • White sugar-2 cups
  • Baking soda- 1 1/2 spoon
  • Grounded nutmeg- 1 spoon
  • Grounded cloves- 1/2 spoon
  • Egg whites- 4
  • Canola oil- 2/3 cups
  • Chopped pecans- 1 cup
  • Grounded cinnamon- 1 spoon
  • Plain flour- 3 cups
  • salt to taste


Step 1: Combine pears and sugar in a bowl, set aside for an hr.

Step 2: Preheat oven at 325 degrees, Combine egg whites, oil, chopped pecans and pears in a bowl. mix all the ingredients well.

Step 3: Mix flour, salt, baking soda, cloves and cinnamon with the pear mixture.

Step 4: pour batter on bundt pan and bake it at 325 degrees for 10min.

Step 5: Remove from oven and set aside to cool.

Step 6: Cut cake into pieces and serve delicious plum cake.
