How to cook spinach fry / palak pakoda

Crispy spinach fry, a delicious snack item and side dish prepared easily with in no time. Spinach contains essential proteins and nutrients that are needed to our body. Spinach fry is very tasty and crispy with carom flavor. Let us see the procedure of making this snack item.

Ingredients:

  • Spinach- 2 cups
  • Rice flour- 1/2 cup
  • Hing -pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed coriander – 1/2 spoon
  • Chilli power- 1/2 spoon
  • Turmeric powder- pinch
  • Bombay besan- 200gms
  • Carom seeds- 1/2 spoon

Procedure:

Step 1:Clean spinach with fresh water and chop spinach uniformly.

Step 2: Add rice flour, hing, salt, turmeric powder and carom seeds. stir it whole mixture.

Step 3: Add crushed coriander seeds, oil and water. mix it well without any lumps.

Step 4: Add chopped spinach to the batter and stir it well.

step 5: Heat oil till it smokes, take spinach batter and drop batter slowly by moving your hand.

Step 6:Fry them till it becomes crispy.

Step 7:Serve the crispy spinach fry with sauce.
