How to prepare shahi toast using bread

A simple quick and easy dessert to prepare at home for small kitty parties, functions is shahi toast. It is a famous indian dessert with delicious taste. Shahi toast contains cardomom flavor taste and well garnished with lot of dry nuts. Let us see the procedure of making shahi toast

Ingredients:

  • White bread slices- 4
  • Ghee- 2 spoons
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 spoons of sugar
  • Crushed cardomom – 4
  • Almond slices- 2 spoons
  • Pistachio slices- 2 spoons

Procedure:

Step 1: Cut the bread edges on all the sides and make them into half.

Step 2: On medium heat toast the bread slices with ghee on both the sides.

Step 3: Take a long bottomed vessel, boil milk at low flame for 15-20min.

Step 4: Add some water to the milk and boil it till it reduces to half.

Step 5: Add sugar, cardomom powder and boil it for 2min.

Step 6: Off the flame and keep aside for 10min.

Step 7: Serve milk in a bowl, add bread slices to it.

Step 8: Let the toasted bread soak in milk for 2-3min.

Serve the dessert in a plate and enjoy its taste..
