- Peeled and sliced carrot pieces- 2cups
- Ginger pieces- 3 spoons
- Oil- 2 spoons
- Carom seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Salt to taste
- Sugar- 2 spoons
- Lemon juice- 2 spoons
- Black pepper- 1/4 spoon
- Celery slices- 1 cup
- Cumin seeds- 1 spoon
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and saute them till they split.
Step 2: At low flame, add carom seeds, asafoetida, carrot, celery and ginger pieces.
Step 3: Saute the whole mixture for 5-10min till it becomes soft.
Step 4: Off the flame and set aside till it becomes cool.
Step 5: Later blend the whole mixture into fine puree by adding water.
Step 6: Now pour the blended carrot mix in sauce pan, add salt and sugar.
Step 7: If needed add some water to the recipe, let it simmer for 5min at low flame.
Step 8:Serve the hot soup in a bowl, sprinkle black pepper and lemon juice to the recipe.
