How to make chilled cantaloupe/ muskmelon soup

Orange fleshed muskmelon, a popular fruit in united states. The skin of muskmelon contains more bacteria so it must be cleaned twice before we consume. Muskmelon is used in making desserts, soups and salads. Chilled muskmelon is very tasty soup in chilled state preferred in hot summer. This is very healthy soup which contains high quality of penicillin. Let us see the procedure of making this soup at home.


  • Cantaloupe / muskmelon – 1 small
  • Yogurt- 1/4 cup
  • Sugar- 1 spoons
  • chopped mint leaves- 1/4cup
  • black pepper flakes- 1 spoon
  • lemon juice- 1 spoon
  • salt to taste
  • chopped ginger- 1 spoon
  • soup masala- 1/2 spoon


Step 1: Peel the skin of cantaloupe, remove seeds and cut into small pieces.

Step 2: In a mixy jar, add cantaloupe pieces and blend them into fine paste.

Step 3: Add chopped ginger, salt, black pepper flakes and lemon juice.

Step 4: By adding some water blend them well and make into fine liquid.

Step 5: Take yogurt, mint leaves and sugar in a bowl, beat them using beater.

step 6: Add this mixture to cantaloupe and stir it well.

Step 7: Serve in a bowl and sprinkle soup masala.

Step 8: Store in refrigerator for 20-30min.

Step 9: Serve soup in a bowl and garnish with mint leaves.
