How to cook chaana masala curry

Chaana masala, a popular punjabi recipe with spicy and delicious taste. It is classic vegetarian recipe prepared with different types of beans instead of chaana. This recipe is very tasty and easy to prepare at home. Let us see the ingredients to cook this recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Chaana- 1 cup
  • Onion slices- 1cup
  • Chopped tomato- 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder- pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Lime juice- 2 spoons
  • Green chillies chopped- 2 spoon
  • Coriander leaves- 2 springs
  • Ginger and garlic paste- 1 spoon
  • Garam masala powder- pinch
  • Oil- 1/2 cup

Procedure:

Step1 : Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add onions, green chillies, sauté them well for 2min.

Step 2: Add ginger garlic paste,  turmeric powder and curry leaves.

Step 3: Stir it well and add tomatoes, soaked chaana cook them for 15-20min by adding some water at low flame.

Step 4: Add cumin powder, whole garam masala and sprinkle lime juice.

Step 5: Add salt and chilli powder as needed and place a lid.

Step 6:Cook the recipe till chaana gets boiled and off the flame.

Step 7: Garnish recipe with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve chaana masala recipe in a bowl with chapatti or Nan.
