How to prepare buttermilk French toast

Ingredients:

  • Well shaken buttermilk- 2 cups
  • Sugar- 4 spoons
  • Salt- pinch
  • Unsalted butter-5 spoons
  • Eggs- 5
  • Challah slices-  ½ inch thick- 12 slices
  • Warm maple syrup

Preparation:

Step 1: Whisk buttermilk, eggs, sugar and salt in a bowl.

Step 2: Pour in a large sauce pan and drop one challah slice to soak.

Step 3: Turn up side down till challah slice absorbs liquid till 10-15min.

Step 4: Heat 2 spoons of butter in a pan at low flame.

Step 5: Transfer soaked bread slices and cook until it slightly becomes puff.

Step 6: Cook till it turn into golden brown color.

Step 7: Transfer into baking pan and keep warm in oven.

Step 8: Repeat the same process for all the challah slices.
