How to make tandoori fish


You can make fish tandoori in oven but cooking over wood fire adds more taste to the recipe. It is popular recipe used as a starter in restaurants. This recipe is particularly preferred in restaurants, hotels by the sea food lovers. It has delicious taste and simple to prepare now let us see the ingredients to cook this recipe


  • Fish pieces- 500gms
  • Vegetable oil- 2 spoons
  • Cream- 50ml
  • Garam masala- 2 spoons
  • Besan flour-20gms
  • Lemon juice- 30ml
  • Ajwain- 1 spoon
  • Yogurt / curd- 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder- 1/4 cup
  • Cumin seeds powder- 2 spoons
  • Ginger and garlic paste- 2 spoons
  • Mint chutney- 1/2 cup
  • Onion slices- 6-8 slices
  • Tomato slices- 4
  • Lemon slices-2
  • Corinader leaves-1/2 cup


Step 1: Take fish pieces in a bowl and clean with fresh water.

Step 2: Serve them in long bottomed bowl and add ginger and garlic paste, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder.

Step 3: Mix it well and add cumin seeds, ajwain, lemon juice, yogurt, garam masala, oil and besan flour.

Step 4: Mix all the ingredients and keep aside. let the fish pieces get marinated in the masala for atleast 1hr.

Step 5: Preheat oven for 15min at 150 degrees and keep the fish pieces in oven till they get roasted.

Step 6: Serve them in a plate and garnish with onions, tomato slices, lemon slices.

Step 7: Sprinkle corinader leaves and serve with mint churney.
