Roasted prawns coated with shredded coconut. Recipe is very crispy and spicy with delicious taste. Prawns are of various types, here we choose king prawns to make this delicious mouth watering recipe. Roasted prawns are served hot along aioli, these are preferred as starters in some of the restaurants. Prawns are one of the best sea food with good health benefits. It is simple to make at home. Let us see the procedure of roasted prawns with shredded coconut.

Ingredients:

  • King prawns- 6 large
  • Egg- 1
  • Shredded coconut- 1/2 cup
  • Plain flour- 1/4 cup
  • Vegetable oil- for fry

Lime aioli

  • Garlic cloves- 1 small
  • Grated lemon rind- 1/2 spoon
  • Lime juice- 1 spoon
  • Egg mayonnaise- 1/4 cup

Procedure:

Step 1: Peel shell of all the prawns and set them to soak them in water.

Step 2: Whisk egg, water in a bowl. Combine coconut, bread crumbs on a plate.

Step 3: Dip prawns in egg mixture and next in bread crumb mixture.

Step 4: Heat oil in a pan, drop coasted prawns in oil and fry them well until it turns golden color.

Step 5: To make aioli- combine mayonnaise, garlic, lime rind and lime juice in a bowl.

Step 6: Stir both ingredients well to combine.

Step 7: Serve fried prawns along with aioli.
