How to make raagi sankati / raagi mudda

Rayalseema special recipe raagi sankati. It is commonly called as raagi mudda/ raagi kali.  Raagi sankati is a popular traditional dish and good combination with chicken curry. Raagi flour has high nutritional values that are needed to our body. Raagi sankati is good source of calcium and iron. This dish is easy to prepare within less time. Instead of raagi flour we can prepare this recipe using wheat sooji. It also contains nutritional values that are good to health. Intake daily as a main course in a meal helps to reduce the body weight. good for obesity patients to get rid of weight.


  • Raagi flour- 2cup
  • Cooked rice- 1 cup
  • Water as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee- 1/2 cup


Step 1: Take raagi flour in a bowl, check the flour and mix well without lumps.

Step 2: Add some water and stir it well.

Step 3: Keep aside for 15min.

Step 4: Later boil raagi mixed flour by stirring it well continuously.

Step 5:At low flame stir it well slowly by adding enough water.

Step 6: Add required salt to it and mix it well.

Step 7: Off the flame and serve it with hot ghee.
