How to make Persian chicken curry

One of the favorite non-vegeterian recipe for everyone is chicken curry. It is easy and simple to prepare with lot of tasty spices. It can be cooked in various methods. Ingredients and preparation of this recipe depends on the region. Now let us learn the process of making Persian chicken curry recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (with bone)- 500gms
  • Olive oil- ¼ cup
  • Salted butter- 3 spoons
  • Tomatoes pieces- 1 bowl
  • Cinnamon powder- ½ spoon
  • Crushed black pepper- ½ spoon
  • Onion slices- 1 bowl
  • Roasted walnut semi powder – ¼ cup
  • Lemon juice- 4 spoons
  • Pomegranate- ½ cup
  • Garlic chopped- 2 spoons

Preparation:

Step 1: Heat salted butter and olive oil in a pan.

Step 2: Add onion slices, garlic chopped and sauté it for a minute.

Step 3: Add fresh and cleaned chicken pieces to the recipe.

Step 4: Add salt to the chicken and sauté it for 5min.

Step 5: Later add cinnamon powder, crushed black pepper and sauté it well.

Step 6: Add tomato puree and mix it well.

Step 7: Add some water and cook chicken for 15-20min at medium flame.

Step 8: After the curry gets boiled add lemon juice to the curry.

Step 9: Sprinkle roasted walnuts, pomegranate and pepper flakes and serve in a bowl.
