How to make papaya halwa

A simple and quick dessert easy to prepare at home. Papaya is a tropical fruit with lot of health and beauty benefits. Delicious papaya halwa contains cardamom flavor along with almonds, raisins and cashew nuts as toppings. It is a mouth watering recipe with delicious taste. This dessert is served along with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients:

  • Sweet papaya- 1
  • Sugar as needed
  • Ghee- 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom- 1/2 spoon
  • Crushed almond- 3 spoons
  • Milk- 2cups
  • Raisins- 2 spoons
  • Cashew nuts- 2 spoons

Preparation:

Step 1: Peel the skin of papaya and cut into small pieces.

Step 2: Heat ghee in a pan at low flame, add papaya pieces and stir it well.

Step 3: After sometime add some sugar and mix it well.

Step 4: Add milk and place a lid on it.

Step 5: Cook it for 15-20min at low flame.

Step 6: Later sprinkle cardamom powder and stir it well.

Step 7: Heat remaining ghee in a pan, add crushed almonds, cashew nuts and raisins.

Step 8: Saute it well till it turn into brown color and off the flame.

Step 9: Garnish the fried nuts on papaya halwa.
