Crispy and soft snack item with delicious taste are paneer pakora’s. These are yet simple and easy to prepare. This snack item is served at tea time. Generally pakoras are made with different type of ingredients and some are served along with roti’s. Now let us see the procedure of making this snack item at home.
- Paneer slices- 1/2 cup
- Corn strach- 3 spoons
- Ginger paste- 1 spoon
- Chopped green chilli-1 spoon
- Salt to taste
- Cilantro chopped- 3 spoons
- Yogurt- 2 spoons
- Besan flour- 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Baking soda- pinch
- Water- 1/2 cup
- Lemon slices- 2
- Onion slices- 3
- Mint leaves- 1/4 cup
Step 1: Take a bowl, add yogurt, corn starch, salt and ginger , mix it well.
Step 2: Add green chillies and cilantro leaves and stir it well and keep aside for 15min to marinate the mixture.
Step 3: Coat paneer with yogurt mixture and keep aside for 30min.
step 4: For batter, mix besan flour, cumin seeds, salt and baking soda.
Step 5: Mix it well by adding some water and make into thick paste.
Step 6: Heat oil in a kadai till it smokes, dip the coated paneer in batter and make into small balls.
Step 7: Drop in oil and fry them till they turn into brown colour.
Step 8: Repeat the process and serve them in a plate.
Step 9: Garnish the pakora with lemon slices, onions and mint leaves.
