- Mutton- 500gms
- Chopped onions- 1 cup
- Chopped tomatoes- 1cup
- Yogurt- 1/2 cup
- Almonds- 1/4 cup
- Cream- 1/4 cup
- Grated ginger and garlic- 1 1/2 spoon
- Black pepper – 1/4 spoon
- Cinnamon- 1 medium stick
- Cardamom seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Cloves- 3
- Coriander seeds- 1 spoon
- Ground mace- 1
- Watermelon seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Cumin seeds- 1/2 spoon
- Poppy seeds- 1 spoon
- Shredded coconut- 1/4 cup
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 spoon
- Red chilli powder- 2 spoons
- Salt to taste
- Oil as required
Step 1: Roast cardamom seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, poppy seeds, ground mace, coconut grated, almonds, black pepper and coriander seeds and grind them into fine powder.
Step 2: Add chopped garlic ginger, red chillies and water to dry masala powder and make into wet masala paste.
Step 3: Heat oil, fry cinnamon, onions till they turn into golden brown color.
Step 4: Add masala paste and stir it well. leave it for 2-3min.
Step 5: Add yogurt and stir the mixture, cook for about 5min at low flame.
Step 6: Add chopped tomato, turmeric powder and mutton pieces to the gravy recipe and stir it well.
Step 7: Add red chilli powder and salt as needed.
Step 8: Pour 2 cups of water, place a lid and cook for about 30-40min at low flame.
Step 9: Pour cream and garnish with coriander leaves, serve the hot and spicy mutton recipe.
