How to make green peas soup


A healthy and delicious green color soup. Green pea soup is served with bread crumbs or steamed rice. It has delicious taste with onion flavor. Green pea soup is served in breakfast time, snack time and also at the time of dinner. Green pea soup is very crispy with bread crumbs.


  • Green peas- 200gms
  • Butter- 2 spoons
  • Maida- 2 spoons
  • Milk- 50ml
  • Onion- small
  • Black pepper- 1/2 spoon
  • Salt to taste


Step 1: We use green pea shells instead of green peas.

Step 2: Wash green pea pods thoroughly by adding some salt.

Step 3: Later wash them with fresh water and drain them.

step 4: Remove the shells of green peas.

Step 5: Take a bowl, add pea shells, onion pieces and cook them for 15min at low flame.

Step 6: Off the flame and keep aside till the temperature reduces.

For white sauce:

Step 7: On other side, heat butter in a pan and some maida.

Step 8: Stir it well continuously till the lour changes color.

Step 9: Add some milk and stir it well at low flame.

Step 10: Take a mixy jar, add pea shell, water and mix them well.

Step 11: Seive water from pea shells.

Step 12: Add white sauce, salt and crushed pepper  and mix them thoroughly.

Step 13: Serve in a bowl and garnish with coriander or mint leaves.
