How to make flaky baklava

Baklava is a popular dessert made with filo. It is very tasty, sticky and flaky. It is kind of pastry loaded with grounded walnuts. It has delicious taste and simple to prepare in oven. Let us see the procedure of making baklava- a juicy dessert.

Ingredients:

  • Filo dough- 1 pack
  • Sunflower oil- 1/4 cup
  • Sugar- 2cups
  • Water- 2 cups
  • Lemon juice- 1spoon
  • Vanilla- 1 1/2 spoon
  • Walnuts(grounded)- 1 cup
  • Cinnamon-1 spoon

Procedure:

Step 1: Mix walnuts, sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, vanilla and half of the sun flower oil in a bowl.

Step 2: Preheat oven at 350 degrees F and cut filo dough into equal size.

Step 3: Grease bottom of the pan and place first layer, later apply bit of oil and place another layer.

Step 4: Continue the process for 4 layers and fill with walnut mixture, later again continue the process of placing layer.

Step 5: Cut filo diagonally and bake it for 30-40min.

Step 6: Serve hot filo after baking.
