How to make pickles using cabbage and cauliflower at home

Cabbage and cauliflower pickles are very spicy and easy to make at home. Both pickles are made with distinct flavors.   • Cabbage slices- 3 cups
  • Fennel/ saunf – 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 spoon
  • Salt- 1 1/2  spoon
  • Hing powder- pinch
  • Mustard oil- 1 spoon
  • Mustard seeds-grounded- 3 spoons
  • Coriander powder- 1 spoon
  • Chilli powder- 1 spoon


Step 1: Mix all the ingredients cabbage slices, fennel seeds, salt, turmeric, hing, mustard oil, mustard seeds, coriander powder and chilli powder in a glass jar.

Step 2: Stir all the ingredients well and set the glass jar in the sun for 4-5hrs.

Step 3: Serve with hot steamed rice

Step 4: Store pickle in refrigerator for 1-2weeks.

  • Cauliflower- large- 1
  • Salt – 2 spoons
  • Olive oil- 3 spoons
  • Hing- pinch
  • Red chilli powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Lemon juice- 1 spoon
  • Grounded- fennel seeds- 1 spoon
  • Grounded mustard seeds- 1 1/2 spoon
  • Green chilli slices- 3
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 spoon


Step 1: Cut cauliflower into small florets

Step 2: Wash them well and set aside to dry without any excess water.

Step 3: Mix all the ingredients and marinate for 2-3hrs.

Step 4: Serve the delicious cauliflower pickle

Step 5: Prefer to store in refrigerator for about a week.
