How to make aloo tikki – Potato patty

Here is the step by step process of making aloo tikki or potato patty. Prepare tasty and crispy Potato patties at home and enjoy the flavor or potato. Ingredients required for making Aloo tikki

  • Potatoes – 3
  • Bread slices – 3
  • Garam masala – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped onion – 1
  • Salt – tbsp
  • Jeera powder – ½ tbsp
  • Chopped green chillies – 1
  • Jeera powder – ½ tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 2 pinches
  • Oil for fry
  • Coriander leaves

Procedure of making Aloo tikki or potato patty at home

  • Take bread and make small & equal bread slices. Keep them aside.
  • Boil the potatoes and mash them nicely. Add sliced bread pieces and mix it well.
  • Add garam masala powder, turmeric powder, Jeera powder, chopped onions, few fresh coriander leaves and salt. Mix it well.
  • Make small balls with potato mixture and make them flat patties.
  • Take a pan on the stove and give a medium flame. Add oil to the pan for frying.
  • Put the potato patties or aloo tikki in the hot oil and fry till golden brown in color by turning to both sides.

Tasty aloo tikki or potato patties are ready to taste. Serve to your loved ones with ketchup.
