A juicy fruit in hot summer is watermelon which is used in cooking recipe. The recipe is very spicy with delicious taste. We can prepare this recipe in simple method. Let us see the procedure of making this recipe at home.
- Watermelon- small
- Chopped onions- ½ cup
- Chopped tomato- ½ cup
- Chopped green chillies- 1 spoon
- Curry leaves- 1 spring
- Turmeric powder- pinch
- Oil- ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Mustard seeds- ¼ spoon
- Cumin seeds- ¼ spoon
- Dried red chillies- 2
- Yogurt- 1 cup
- Chilli powder- 1 spoon
Step 1: Peel the skin of watermelon, remove the seeds and cut into small pieces.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies. Sauté it for 2min.
Step 3: Add chopped onions and green chillies sauté them till onion turns into brown colour.
Step 4: Add tomato, yogurt and stir it well.
Step 5: Later add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and required salt and sauté it well for 5min at low flame.
Step 6: Add water melon pieces and some water, place a lid and cook it for 15min at low flame.
Step 7: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve in a bowl.
