How to cook spicy prawn curry

Spicy prawn curry with delicious taste is so simple to prepare. Prawn is the most favorite food for most of them. It has huge health benefits. This recipe is very tasty and spicy served with steamed rice. Let us see the cooking method.

Ingredients:

  • Prawns- 500gms
  • Chopped onions- 1cup
  • Tomato- 2
  • Water- 1cup
  • Curry leaves- 1 spring
  • Oil- 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric powder-pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • green chillies- 2 long halves
  • Ginger and garlic paste- 2 spoons
  • Red chilli powder- 1 1/2 spoon

For masala powder:

  • Coriander seeds- 2 spoons
  • Poppy seeds- 1 spoon
  • Cinnamon- 1 medium stick
  • Cloves- 3
  • Cardamom powder- 3
  • Black pepper powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Cashew nuts- 3

Preparation:

Step 1: Saute all the masala powder ingredients in a non-stick pan for 2min.

Step 2: Keep aside till it cools and mix them into fine powder.

Step 3: Heat oil in a vessel, add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. fry them till it turns into brown shade.

Step 4: Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and mix it well.

Step 5: Add cleaned prawns, salt. Place a lid and cook it for 15-20min at low flame.

Step 6: Later add some water, tomato slices, chilli powder and powder masala to the recipe. Stir it well and place a lid.

Step 7: Cook the recipe for 5-10min, garnish with coriander leaves.

Enjoy the taste of recipe with hot steamed rice.
