How to make paneer burji

Popular north indian recipe made with paneer cubes. It is simple and easy to make this recipe. It is a spicy dish with delicious taste. This recipe is similar to egg burji. Let us see the procedure of making this recipe at home.


  • Paneer cubes- 2cups
  • Chopped onions- 1 full cup
  • Tomato- 1 cup
  • Chopped green chillies- 2
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 spoon
  • Cumin powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Coriander powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Garam masala- 1 spoon
  • Chilli powder- 1/2 spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter- 2spoons
  • Curry leaves- 1 spring


Step 1: Soak paneer cubes in hot water.

Step 2: Heat butter in a non-stick pan, fry onions, green chillies saute them for 2min.

Step 3: Fry the onion till it turn into brown colour.

Step 4: Add tomato pieces and stir it well.

Step 5: Add and mix all the ingredients turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.

Step 6: Add cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.

Step 7: Stir it well and add half-cup of water, place a lid for 2min.

Step 8: Add soaked paneer cubes and stir it well.

Step 9: Garnish the recipe with coriander leaves and curry leaves, off the flame.

Serve and enjoy the taste of Paneer burji.
