One of the most spicy recipe with delicious taste is chettinaad chicken. It is famous recipe in tamilnadu region. Ingredients used in making this recipe are more spicier than other chicken recipes. - Chicken pieces- medium- 1kg
- Sliced garlic- 2 spoons
- Onion slices- 1 cup
- sliced ginger- 2 spoons
- Black pepper powder- 1/2 spoon
- salt to taste
- coriander seeds-1 spoon
- cinamon- 2 sticks
- cloves- 5
- cumin seeds- 1/4 spoon
- dry red chillies- 3
- coconut-1/2 cup
- turmeric powder- pinch
- curry leaves- 2 springs
- lemon juice- 4 spoons
- coriander leaves- 1/2 cup
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, dry red chillies, coriander seeds,cinnamon and cloves. saute them well for 2min.
Step 2: Add coconut to them and saute it for 5min till it turns into brown colour.
Step 3: Off the flame and keep aside.
Step 4: Take a bowl, add chicken, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and oil. mix it well and marinate it for 15-20min.
Step 5: Grind the sauted coconut mixture into fine paste by adding water.
Step 6: Heat oil in a pan, add onions,curry leaves, ginger and garlic pieces saute it for 1min till onions turn into brown color.
Step 7: Add coconut masala paste, lemon juice and saute it for 2min.
Step 8: Add chicken to it and sprinkle black pepper powder, mix it well.
Step 9: Place lid on the top of chicken and cook chicken for about 20-30min at low flame.
Serve hot and spicy recipe in a plate and garmish with coriander leaves.
